This trait of his is explored both as his greatest strength and weakness as the series progresses. In the story he is the prime example of Chronic Hero Syndrome and Martyr Without a Cause. He tends to become very passionate and gets carried away whenever he starts talking about his hobby, pro-wrestling, and Inaba stops him when he tries to add wrestling topics to their Student Cultural Society's newspaper.
